Bieri Sanitäre Anlagen & Spenglerei AG (Bern)

In 1912, despite the difficult economic situation at the time, the tinsmith and plumber Karl Bieri went into business for himself and opened his own store at Muesmattstrasse 33 in the Längass district of Bern (the location still used today). His three sons also learned the plumbing trade and gradually joined their father's business. Together they led the family business through the First World War and the economic crisis that soon followed.

In the 1930s, the company was taken over by the sons and again led through a difficult time, the Second World War, under the name of Gebrüder Bieri. After the departure of two brothers, the father of Jörg Bieri led the company until the mid-70s.

Jörg and Ruth Bieri, the current owners and managing directors, now in the third generation, converted the sole proprietorship into a stock corporation. During this time, the company headquarters were completely renovated and a new, spacious workshop was built. Bieri Sanitäre Anlagen und Spenglerei AG" developed into a medium-sized commercial enterprise.
