Bütikofer Sanitär (Biel/Bienne)

In 1917, during the war years, the company Hans Bütikofer, sanitary installations, plumbing and heating was founded in Biel in the old town in the former white goods shop.

After the 2nd World War, in difficult economic times, in 1946? Hans Bütikofer was forced to join the company as a merchant and mastered the financial crisis with great commitment with the help of reliable employees.

After completing his training and further education, Rudolf Bütikofer also joined the company as a master sanitary engineer.

In the post-war years, a change of heart led the two to concentrate more on renovation and repair work. This niche or branch was rather neglected by the companies at that time. In addition, Hans and Rudolf Bütikofer were able to avoid the expansion of the company or the relocation with the associated financial risks.

They passed on the same philosophy to the next generation, with Thomas Bütikofer following Hans and Alfred Bütikofer following Rudolf. With the necessary backing and support, they continued to run the company in the same style until Alfred Bütikofer left in 2018.

With an amicable solution, Thomas Bütikofer decided to take over sole ownership of the company and continue it in a new form. Arrangements have already been made for the succession and with the help of experienced employees we want to continue the company in the proven manner.
