Boiler decalcification

At intervals of 4 to 5 years it is recommended to decalcify the hot water boiler in case of hard water. We distinguish between the so-called mechanical decalcification, where a heating coil with a manhole / flange can be removed, and chemical decalcification, where the boiler must be completely chemically decalcified. If necessary, the anodes and gaskets are changed at the same time.

Heat pump

Alternative energies are very much in vogue. This is due on the one hand to political developments - away from nuclear energy and toward the expansion of renewable energy sources - and on the other hand to the associated attractive subsidy programs. Heat pumps offer a good approach in this area, but they score points not only because they are environmentally friendly.

Multi-talented heat pump

One can certainly take one's hat off to a heat pump. It can not only heat your own four walls and provide hot water, but can also be used for cooling. Elaborate conversion measures are not necessary for this! Either the heat pump is used without compression, i.e. without a compressor, or the direction of delivery is simply reversed. Then the compressor serves as an evaporator and functions like a refrigerator, and the warm room air is returned to the heat transfer medium (air, water or earth) by this reversal. Particularly in the case of a heat pump that makes use of the earth's heat by means of a geothermal probe, cooling operation in summer can actually increase the annual performance factor and thus the efficiency. Due to the thermal charging, the probe then has a higher output temperature available in the cooler season, thus consuming less primary energy.

Increasing the value of the property

Owners of residential properties are increasingly confronted with the energy passport in view of renting and selling. An energetic renovation and last but not least an efficient and cost-effective heating system are becoming more and more important. For both points a heat pump is the ideal solution. A renovation according to energy aspects with a full thermal insulation costs quickly twice as much as the installation of a heat pump. In return, the thermal insulation reduces heating costs by a maximum of just 40 percent, whereas geothermal heating can save up to 60 percent of heating costs. The reduction in primary energy is also recorded in the energy pass. How gas & oil condensing boilers work

When gas, oil or pellets are burned, water vapor is produced. A conventional gas heating system or an older oil heating system discharges this water vapor, together with the CO2 produced during combustion, into the environment via the chimney.

Air / heat pump

The heat source of an air-to-water heat pump is the ambient air. This can be tapped almost anywhere and with little effort. This makes air heat pumps universally applicable and particularly interesting for the renovation of older buildings and heating systems. The technology can be installed either inside or outside the building.

The air-to-water heat pump draws in warm outside air to heat the inside of a house. The air heat pump can be installed either outside or in the basement of the house. This requires about 1 m³ of space for the technology.

Compared to brine-water heat pumps and water-water heat pumps, an air heat pump manages with less space. Likewise, no permits are required for the construction of a well or the drilling of a ground probe.
